1. Introduction
These terms and conditions outline the basis on which L. B. Page Editorial (“I”, “me”, or “my”) provides editing services.
By engaging my services, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
I provide editorial services, which may include:
Developmental editing
Copyediting
Proofreading
The specific scope of work will be agreed in writing before any work begins.
3. Quotes and Booking
A quote will be provided based on the information and sample provided.
Quotes are valid for 14 days.
A project is confirmed once both parties agree to the scope, timeline, and fee.
4. Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking and confirm your project.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work.
Final payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
Late payments may result in delays to delivery or withholding of completed work.
5. Payment Plans
I’m happy to offer a simple payment plan to spread the cost of my services.
Details will be confirmed in writing before work begins. Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to discuss a payment plan.
Payment plans are agreed in advance and typically involve:
A 30% deposit to secure your booking
One or more instalments during the project
Final payment due before delivery of the completed work
6. Turnaround Times
Deadlines will be agreed before work begins.
Turnaround times depend on the length and complexity of the project.
Delays caused by late submission of materials may affect delivery dates
6. Revisions
Minor follow-up queries are welcome after delivery.
Substantial additional work or revisions may be subject to an additional fee.
7. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete materials
Ensure you have the right to submit the work for editing
Review the edited work carefully before use or publication
8. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your work at all times.
I do not claim any rights over your content.
9. Confidentiality
All work and communication will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with third parties without your permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to ensure accuracy:
I cannot guarantee that the work will be completely error-free
I am not liable for any losses arising from the use of the edited material
11. Cancellation
Either party may cancel a project with reasonable notice.
The deposit is non-refundable.
Work completed up to the point of cancellation must be paid for.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
