I’m glad you’re here…

Welcome to L. B. Page Editorial!

I’m Lauren, an editor who loves supporting writers at all stages of their career to help develop stories and bring projects to life.

My path into editing naturally blossomed from my fascination with literature and how even small changes can transform a piece of writing. I’ve always been drawn not just to what a story says, but how it says it.

So for me, editing is about more than just correcting grammar or refining sentences. It’s about helping writers to see their work with clarity and to help them feel confident in their creation.

All of my work takes place in my little office/library, where I’m accompanied by one of my two cats, Loki and Nimbus — so you can rest assured that I am being closely supervised at all times while working on your project.

You can find a full list of the editing packages I offer here — including full manuscript feedback, copyediting, and proofreading.

What do I do?

I provide tailored editing packages for writers, with a focus on strengthening stories as a whole. I look at what’s working, what isn’t, and where your manuscript can be developed further to bring you to publication-ready standard. I have worked with almost any genre you can imagine, and enjoy the variety this provides.

I especially enjoy working with projects that have a strong purpose behind them. You know, the ones that aren’t afraid to embrace what they are, the ones that push boundaries, and challenge the norm.

If you have a manuscript with anything from dark and gothic to whimsical fantasy undertones, I’m there.

So, why choose me?

Ever met an editor with a degree in Psychology?

Well, now you have.

This combination of psychology and literature informs every aspect of my work. It allows me to understand not only how personal your writing is, but also how to explore your characters more deeply and ensure that comes through on the page.

My approach is always honest and constructive, while maintaining an encouraging tone. My goal isn’t to change your voice, but to help you refine it and bring out the strongest version of your story.

Whether you’re working on a first draft or preparing your manuscript for the next stage, I’m here to offer a fresh perspective and constructive feedback to support your process.

A few interesting facts about me…

  • As mentioned, I hold a 2:1 in Psychology, which shapes the way I approach editing. It means I’m naturally drawn to the emotional side of writing (how characters come across, how ideas land, and how a piece connects with its reader). In other words, I’m always thinking about how your work feels as well as how it reads.

  • I love proper grammar, including the em-dash, and I’m not sorry about it (humans were using them long before AI ever did).

  • I have two Editorial Assistants…okay, they’re my cats, Loki and Nimbus. But they’re always present when I’m working on manuscripts and I like to imagine they’re holding me accountable.

  • I’m writing my own book, Last Seen by Fate, which you can follow along with via my newsletter and socials!
